Hey Nina B., glad you like my Truly, Madly, Deeply blog on Salon, the one about the romance in bloom at my sisters clubhouse for schizophrenics.
You might like my book, though I hate to force it on anyone because a book is normally a deeply personal choice. At least for me.
It's just that there are so few good books about schizophrenia. Plenty that have good info, but not well told and thus not widely read.
It's called Stalking Irish Madness: Searching for the Roots of My Family's Schizophrenia (Random House/Bantam Dell) and there's more info on my web site at stalkingirishmadness.com
I admit plugging my book, but only because I feel an almost evangelical responsibility to spread the truth about what schizophrenia is -- hearing disembodied voices is the main thing -- and what can be done to relieve the suffering of 1 out of every 100 individuals on the planet. Dig?
Thanks for the keeping it in mind and on the brain. Peace. Patrick Tracey, aka paddymadcat
